SIERRA LEONE HOSTS THE NATIONAL INFORMATION AND AWARENESS SEMINAR ON COMPETITION LAW AND POLICY IN WEST AFRICA

The ECOWAS Regional Competition Authority (ERCA) participated in the National Information and Awareness Seminar on Competition Law and Policy in West Africa, held at the New Brookfields Hotel from 28 to 30 April 2026.

Organized under the EU-funded Competition and Consumer Protection Support Programme (PACOSPRO) – UEMOA/ECOWAS Component, the seminar convenes competition authorities, regulators, and Non-Governmental Advisors (NGAs) from Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 to strengthen enforcement of competition law and promote fair markets.

ERCA’s participation reflects its mandate to foster regional cooperation and effective competition policy implementation across ECOWAS Member States, supporting consumer welfare and inclusive economic growth.
