GOOD PRACTICE IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT : AUDIT EXIT MEETING BETWEEN THE OFFICE OF THE AUDITOR GENERAL OF ECOWAS AND THE ECOWAS REGIONAL COMPETITION AUTHORITY

An audit exit meeting was held on March 17, 2026, marking an important step in strengthening cooperation between the Office of the Auditor General of ECOWAS and ERCA.

The team of the Auditor General, led by Mr. Richard Awunyo, Director of Audit, exchanged with the entire ERCA staff, headed by Dr. Simeon Koffi, Director of ERCA, on the audit results and recommendations to improve financial management and competition regulations.
The discussions focused on best practices in financial management and the measures to be implemented to improve efficiency and transparency within ECOWAS institutions and agencies.
